About Us

John Coplin, D.V.M.

Dr. Coplin grew up in South Western Wyoming and did his undergraduate work at the University of Wyoming. He graduated from Kansas Sate University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. Dr. Coplin then returned to Wyoming where he practiced in mixed animal practices for five years before purchasing Willowcreek Animal Hospital in 1999. In 2004, he also purchased Fremont Animal Care Center in St. Anthony.  He is passionate about veterinary medicine and is especially interested in equine lameness, dentistry, and reproduction. Dr. Coplin also enjoys team roping, hunting, fishing, skiing, snow machining, and flying.


Janet Kershner, D.V.M.

Dr. Kershner grew up in New Castle Pennsylvania and did her undergraduate work at Penn State University.  She graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994.  After graduation, Dr. Kershner moved to Moses Lake Washington where she worked in a mixed animal (primarily dairy) practice.  She moved to Eastern Idaho in 1999 and worked in several practices in the area before settling in Blackfoot where she worked for eight years.  Dr. Kershner joined Willowcreek Animal Hospital and Fremont Animal Care Center in August of 2009.  She spends the majority of her time at Fremont Animal Care Center in St. Anthony.  She really enjoys the diversity of a mixed animal practice  but has strong interest in small animal medicine and surgery and small ruminant medicine.  She lives in Shelley with her husband Kevin and her menagerie of pets.  Outside of work, Dr. Kershner enjoys photography, quilting, and trail riding.


 

 

Jennifer Keefe

Jennifer grew up in South Dakota where she enjoyed riding and showing horses. She attended William Woods College in Missouri and University of Wyoming in Laramie where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. She taught school for seven years before moving to Idaho Falls in 1999.
She then became the Office Manager at Willowcreek Animal Hospital. Her main responsibilities are accounts payable and payroll, but she also fills in as a receptionist or technician.  She has always loved animals and being outside riding horses and playing with her dogs. She continues to travel around the western states barrel racing and also did some showing in reined cow horse competitions. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.


 Debbie Spencer

Debbie was born in Rigby and her family moved to California where she graduated from high school. Debbie then moved back to Idaho where she raised four wonderful children. She began working as a receptionist at Willowcreek Animal Hospital in 1994. She is also responsible for inventory, ordering supplies, and accounts receivable.  Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, which includes 14 grandchildren, reading, camping and taking her two dogs, Tess and Meesha, for walks. Debbie and her husband, Mike, make their home in Ucon.


Michelle Tibbits

Michelle grew up in Massachusetts and moved to Idaho in 1997. While growing up, she loved to ride horses and developed a passion for loving animals.  In 2004, she started at Willowcreek Animal Hospital as a volunteer and was hired as a full time technician in 2005. She also earned an Animal Assistant Certification. She loves to make each animal feel very special while they are in her care and makes them a comfortable bed and gives them plenty of toys to play with.  She happily owns three horses, 8 cats, one dog and enjoys spending time with her animals and her two children.


Christa Corgatelli 

Christa grew up in Rigby and also makes that her home today with her big "Italian" family. After graduating from Rigby High School, she earned a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science from BYU Idaho.  She has always loved being around animals and would sneak out of her house at night to ride horses. She started working as a technician at Willowcreek Animal Hospital in 2008. She especially enjoys working with horses, going on ranch calls, and building relationships with the clients and their animals. Christa also works as a technician at our Fremont Animal Care Center in St. Anthony.  For recreation, she likes to ski, ride horses, camp and spend time with her family and friends. She has been active in Martial Arts for the last 15 years and is a member of the International Association of Sanjuru Martial Arts and is a Second Level Black Belt.


Maren Foerster

 Maren grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She then attended the Veterinary Technician School at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls and also worked as a veterinary technician while attending school.  She returned to Idaho Falls and continued her dream of working with animals and works as a technician at both Willowcreek Animal Hospital and Fremont Animal Care Center in St. Anthony.
Outside of work, she enjoys being outside with her horse, Babe, and her dog, Buster.


Colton Weber

Colton has been employed at Willowcreek Animal Hospital since 2007. After completing the Career Exploration Program through Idaho Falls High School, he was hired to work part time after school. After graduating from high school, he began working full time as a stall cleaner and also does maintenance and repairs along with helping out with the animals. Colton currently attends Idaho State University and is majoring in Biology.  Colton grew up in Ririe where his family raised cattle and horses. He still enjoys being on the farm and riding horses, fishing, and skiing.
