Dr. Coplin grew up in South Western Wyoming and completed his undergraduate work at the University of Wyoming. He graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. Dr. Coplin then returned to Wyoming where he practiced in mixed animal practices for five years before purchasing Willowcreek Animal Hospital in 1999. In 2004, he also purchased Fremont Animal Care Center in St. Anthony. He is passionate about veterinary medicine and is especially interested in equine lameness, dentistry, and reproduction. Dr. Coplin also enjoys team roping, hunting, fishing, skiing, snow machining, and flying. In 2010, Dr. Coplin was appointed to the Idaho State Board of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Soderquist grew up right here in Idaho Falls. Following graduation from Idaho Falls High School, he attended the University of Idaho, in Moscow. There he received a bachelors degree in animal science. He then attended Washington State University where he received his doctorate of veterinary medicine. After graduating from WSU, Graham moved to northwest Montana and practiced at a predominantly equine practice. After three years in Montana, he moved back to Idaho to join the team at Willowcreek Animal Hospital. In his free time, Graham enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time in the outdoors.

Dr. Kershner grew up in New Castle, Pennsylvania and did her undergraduate work at Penn State University. She graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. After graduation, Dr. Kershner moved to Moses Lake, Washington where she worked in a mixed animal (primarily dairy) practice. She moved to Eastern Idaho in 1999 and worked in several practices in the area before settling in Blackfoot where she worked for eight years. Dr. Kershner joined Willowcreek Animal Hospital and Fremont Animal Care Center in August of 2009. She spends the majority of her time at Fremont Animal Care Center in St. Anthony. She really enjoys the diversity of a mixed animal practice but has strong interest in small animal medicine and surgery and small ruminant medicine. She lives in Rigby with her husband Kevin and her menagerie of pets. Outside of work, Dr. Kershner enjoys photography, quilting, and trail riding.

Dr. Black completed his undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Portland State University in 2004. He then began veterinary school at Washington State University, earning his DVM in 2009. In his final year of veterinary school, Dr. Black completed two externships with Dr. Coplin at Willowcreek Animal Hospital. Following school, he began working as a veterinarian in Star Valley, Wyoming and continues to do so on a part-time basis. In 2013, Dr. Black was delighted to accept a position working with his old friends and mentors at Willowcreek Animal Hospital. His professional areas of interest are small animal medicine with a special interest in orthopedics. In his spare time, Dr. Black enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, biking, and motocross.

Dr. Abby Matthaeus grew up in Western Washington. She attended the University of Washington in Seattle and received a bachelors degree in Biology and Psychology. She then attended Washington State University where she received her doctorate of veterinary medicine. After graduating from WSU, Abby moved to Boise and spent a year as an intern veterinarian at Idaho Equine Hospital. After completing her internship, she moved to Idaho Falls to join the team at Willowcreek Animal Hospital. She is particularly interested in equine lameness and sports medicine but enjoys working with all animals. In her free time, Abby enjoys riding her horse, dirt biking, hunting, fly-fishing, and spending time outdoors.

Jennifer has been the Office Manager at Willowcreek Animal Hospital since 1999. Her main duties include accounts payable and payroll. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her 'four legged children'. She also travels around the western states running barrels.

Debbie has been working as a receptionist at Willowcreek Animal Hospital since 1994. She has many duties besides answering the phone and scheduling appointments and is efficient at keeping the front office running smoothly. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family (which includes 14 grandchildren), reading and camping. Debbie and her husband, Mike, make their home in Ucon.

Mandy joined our team in March of 2013 and helps keep the front office running smoothly. She is in charge of entering medical records, scheduling appointments, updating facebook and our website. Mandy really gets to know the clients and their animals and makes them feel welcome. Mandy lives in Idaho Falls with her husband, Matt, and their kids, Ty and Riley. Outside of work, she enjoys photography and watching her family compete in rodeos and ranch roping competitions.

I also enjoy cattle work and equine reproduction. By far, the most rewarding thing for me is to be able to provide service to animals in need and being able to send them home healthy and happy.”
Colton is one of our veterinary technicians and has worked for us since 2007. He originally worked for us in high school as a stall cleaner and then trained to be a technician. He is willing to learn new things and does many things to help out in the clinic. Colton grew up in Ririe where his family raised cattle and horses. He still enjoys being on the farm and riding horses, fishing, and skiing. Colton and his wife Sophie and their crew (Hitch, a Chocolate Lab, Clover, a Corgi and Willow, a Chocolate Lab) live in Idaho Falls.

Hilary started working at Willowcreek Animal Hospital in 2014. She grew up in Idaho Falls and Ririe Idaho. Hilary says that this is her dream job. Hilary joined our team as a stall cleaner but has moved up the ranks and is currently a technician. She lives in Idaho Falls with her dog Bonner. In her spare time, she enjoys playing soccer, hunting, fishing, riding her horses and spending time with her family.

Jamie joined our practice as a technician in December 2017. She is always enthusiastic and so caring for the animals and our clients. She grew up in eastern Pennsylvania and moved to Idaho in 2016. Jamie spends her free time riding horses, mountain biking, hiking, and canyoneering. She resides in Idaho Falls with her fiance Matt, her quarter horse Mocha and her border collie Walle.

Carmen grew up in southeastern Idaho and graduated from South Fremont High School. Carmen originally worked for us at our practice in St. Anthony, Fremont Animal Care Center. She then moved to Colorado for a couple of years and is now back home and we are very grateful to have her as part of our team at Willowcreek Animal Hospital. Carmen works for us as a technician and receptionist. Carmen lives in St. Anthony Idaho with her husband Eddy and her two dogs Winnie and Zoey, and her kitty Meme. In her spare time she loves camping, hunting, fishing and being with her family.

Isabell lives with her family in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She is the youngster of our clinic staff. She volunteers at the clinic two days a week helping with the animals and doing a variety of other tasks. On Saturdays, Isabell cleans stalls and keeps the barn looking great. Isabell is an avid rider and is a member of Pony Club. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, riding horses with her family and taking care of an assortment of their other animals.

Karisa is our stall cleaner and takes great pride in keeping the stalls and barn looking great. Karisa grew up in Menan, Idaho and graduated from Rigby High School. She will be starting college to become a Vet Tech, which will be completed all online. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her fiance Levi, her horses Chance, Dixie, and Brownie, cat Twitch and Boxer KC. She has found a passion training wild mustangs and caring for animals.
